Our guide will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter at around 7:30 and we will thence transfer to our bike store by the car or taxi. A short briefing and instruction about biking skills and notes will be given to you before you start the full day cycling tour.
You start the trip by cycling via a scenic alley winding through the street local market of Hanoi suburb. Reach the Red River middle island, following the path along the island (6 Km) of the Red River through beautiful banana forests, kumquat gardens, papaya gardens, vegetable gardens…
You will have a great opportunity for beautiful landscape photos with vegetables gardens and thatched houses. Reach Long Bien Bridge, then we’ll get on the bridge and pass the Red River on Hanoi’s legendary Longbien Bridge. Following the path along the dyke of the Red River to the small villages on the quiet outskirts of Hanoi city, on the left bank of the Red River.
Keep on Pedaling through the small alleys of villages to the Duong River, then get on a local ferry across the Duong River (a branch of the Red River) where you will see the meeting point of 2 rivers (Red River & Duong River)
Following the path along the dyke of the Duong River and through the small villages where you will see many traditional houses of Vietnamese people, as well as pagodas, temples, local markets where local people sell & buy everything for their life ...
And we will take you to visit a Vietnamese’s traditional house you can learn more about their life, and you will be tryed traditional green-tea, local coffee, local fruit, cake of Vietnamese.
Then keep on pedaling on the alleys, from villages to villages, through rice fields. You arrive in the Co loa citadel in north of the Hanoi centre, you will visit Co Loa museum to learn more about Co loa ancient citadel of Vietnam. (the Co loa citadel is the most ancient citadel in Vietnam, built over two thousand years ago.)
Then pedaling via the remains of the Co Loa citadel, through beautiful vegetables and crops fields where you will see smiling faces of local farmers, working on the fields. You can have chat with them to learn more about their lives and work…
Continue following small alleys of villages you will visit a vermicelli village where you can see local people are making vermicelli & noodles … and you can learn more the process of making products of vermicelli.
Then keep on pedaling via the alleys, from villages to villages to visit a beautiful vegetables field and a handicraft village where you will see lot of local people who are making bamboo brooms, straw brooms, hay broom…
You keep on cycling on the back road, to get back to our bike store around 16:30 pm. Then our guide will take you return to your hotel the trip ends.
